A native of São Paulo Brazil and schooled, while still a teenager, in the recording studios and night clubs of Chicago, Carla has appeared on 7th Heaven, The Tonight Show, The Grammy Awards, and as the voice of Peggy Lee on Pee Wee’s Playhouse. As a backup singer, Carla has performed with the late soul legend Solmon Burke, recorded with Gino Vannelli, Mike Patton (Faith No More), Mimi Betinis (Pezband), Michael Bublé, and toured with Billy Idol, REO Speedwagon, Christopher Cross, Christan Castro, and actor/musician Gary Sinise in his Lt. Dan Band. She has appeared live with Sergio Mendes, Flora Purim and Airto Moreira, and sang in the 2012 Latin Grammy Person of the Year Show honoring treasured Brazilian artist Caetano Veloso. At the Latin Grammy presentation, Carla also sang backups for Natalie Cole, Seu Jorge, Lila Downs and other latin superstars. More recently, Carla recorded vocals for Enrique Bunbury's highly anticipated new major label release.

Carla sang on the feature film "Ask The Dust," Disney’s “Kronk’s New Groove,” the Oscar nominated (for best original song) “RIO,” and recorded backing vocals  for the Janelle Monae's "RIO 2" contribution, "What Is Love." Carla has sung and contracted for Disney in Portuguese and Spanish, and on numerous commercials and tv shows.

Carla was the vocal arranger on several CD projects, including late Brazilian bassist Antônio de Santanna's CD (Tim Maia, Elba Ramalho) and 70’s pop icon Mimi Betinis' All That Glitters. Carla recorded and produced Charlie Sheen and Katherine Winneck singing Jobim's Aguas De Março for Roman Coppola's film A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III and arranged and produced the vocal sessions for rising pop star Emii's Spanish and Portuguese tracks.
